Fear Knocks literary e-journal started as a project in a writing class at Naropa University in February 2006. The editor wanted to fill a niche that did not exist in e-publication. In addition, he also had delusions of grandeur dreaming Fear Knocks would one day become a print-journal.
That same year, Fear Knocks Press was established, but has primarily produced annual chapbooks during the Christmas season for friends and family of the editor (although original art covers were made in preparation for the first print version of Fear Knocks: the journal of suspense and horror).
The editor, who is also the webmaster, designer, and primary funder of Fear Knocks, decided in 2011 that an annual Halloween issue was just about all he had the time. That said, he has every intention of making Fear Knocks the premiere literary journal for horror and suspense on the web. Time is on his side.
Until then...
