One of the limited edition covers for the first print issue of Fear Knocks, The Best of Fear Knocks, Volume 1, due out in early 2008 (if the planets align and I can still pay my rent).
We publish as many letters and emails as possible. We reserve the right to edit as appropriate and/or as it fits our needs (or as the voice inside our heads directs us to). We will only use first names to provide some anonymity to our letter writers. We hope everyone understands that we consider letters and emails fair game for publication.
Letters have been scarce, but here are a couple that have blown under the door of Fear Knocks over the last 6 months:
Dear Fear Knocks,
I heard from a friend that the story by M. L. Forman in Issue 1, The Basement Well, was going to be made into a movie. Is this true?

Glad to hear from the city of wind, coffee, and Jet City Woman aficionados (Queensrÿche). It's funny that you should mention The Basement Well. The Editor, Scott, me, just completed writing the screenplay for The Basement Well and a local director/producer has showed interest in doing the film as a short. With any luck, you may be seeing the Basement Well as a filler on HBO or something. The screenplay pretty much follows the original story (found here if you want to read it), but has an additional twist at the end that makes it really psycho scary... will let you know as the project progresses...

Hey!
What's the latest on a print edition of Fear Knocks? I remember in last issue you mentioned something about the Best of Fear Knocks coming out. Any updates?

It's all about time and submissions. We (me) think that in the next few months - once I retire from the military and graduate (MFA at Naropa) - there will definitely be a print editon "Best of" chapbook coming out. I've already made the covers (back in 2006). So, time, patience, etc., and it will be out...
