Aim High!  At least that's what the recruiter said... The last few months have been rather hectic - school, writing, work, reading, trips outside of the country, writing - so I apologize upfront for neglecting all of you for the last 7 months.  This month it is with great pleasure I present some of my closest friends and colleagues' work in the pages of Fear Knocks.  Coming right off of a four week summer writing program at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, I hope these
friends and recent graduates** will be the next great writers of this generation.        That said, I also have some writing from students/associates of the local university where I teach from time to time - Weber State University in Ogden, Utah - as well as a submission from a Utah State, Tooele Chapter, writer.  I think the juxtaposition between these writers and the graduate set will interest you.  Not that this is any kind of competition or comparison, but I find it interesting the way writers from different locations, different points in their studies, and different environments put their words to paper.

Also, really thinking about overhauling the look of the site - the black and red is great, and the Parseltongue fonts divine, but have been thinking of going a little cleaner.  Please email any wishes, desires, suggestions you have to me - editor@fearnocks.com.

Hope to have the next issue out sooner than this one.  Hope you all have a great summer and when you hear the knocking, let it in...

Scott

p.s. I've also been working on a hybrid text dealing with minor Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome, loss, and regret.  Check it out at A Tree in Antarctica.  Feedback very welcome!
